Day 925 : Slate

• Professional : Today seemed to fly by! Had a couple of meetings. Racked my brain on some questions from the community. Racked it some more to try and figure out why upgrading a framework I used in a project and totally broke it. Awesome. Ended the day, helping a teammate debug their application and get it working. So I stopped work on a good note.

• Personal : So like I was saying, I upgraded the framework my project is using and it broke when I tried to deploy it. After going through some tracks for the radio show, I spent most of the night trying to figure it out. After a bunch of research and experimenting, I wasn’t able to get it working so I signed into their Discord server and left a message.

So, I’m going to eat dinner and go through some tracks for the radio show. To make sure, I tried to spin up and deploy a brand new example using the latest version of the framework to see if it would be broken like my current project. Turns out it works. That’s actually good news because that means I can actually do something about it. If it was still broken, I’d have to wait for someone else to try and fix something I have no control over. My plan is to start from a clean slate, make sure it works and slowly copy over my code little by little. I’ve been wanting to clean it up, so this would be a perfect opportunity since I have more experience since I first started the project. Plus, I think I thought of a cool domain name for it. So it would be good to start fresh.
